I contacted Midwest CC last year regarding the same issue, they told me to use Dexron III.

I am not 100% certain, but fairly confident that you can use Dexron II or newer formulation (i.e III or whatever it is). I have just been putting "Dexron" (watever is at the auto parts stores) in my trans for years and have not had problems. In fact, I use the Valvoline half dino and half synthetic fluid (forget the name). I would go full synthetic, but I am a little concerned about the old seals starting to leak, so the half dino fluid will help keep them swelled up a bit.

I recently ask about what kind of trns fluid to run in my 76 borg warner 1:1 velvet drive.
I was quickly told dexron 2. I am having a hard time finding 2. Is this all I am limited to?? -Brad- |
