Thanks Travis, things are pretty good right now (knock on wood) for my family, And I am very proud of my two boys. They are really well behaved kids.

The resort actually has a gas pump at their small marina, at $5.65 a gallon for regular. The gas bill was over $600.00 for the week. However, the EPA is going to shut down their gas pump because it is not up to code. I wish I took a picture, it looks pretty old and definitely not legal.........main gas line to the dock is laying on the shore exposed and enters the water before it gets to the pump. So we will have to use 5 gallon cans next year to shuttle gas to the boat.

I've never made it up to Pillsbury. Always heard good things. After seeing your pics, I think I'll add it to the list of trips to take. BKH

Seriously looking into it for next summer Todd. Although we live on the water, it's nice to get away from everything. In CA, it's tough to find a lake that's 1) not crowded 2) has lakefront camping 3) has a shower. We've been been taking some day trips checking out where we want to go. The only place we've found is Eagle Lake, but Pillsbury definitely looks like a winner. BKH

Yes, it is a Mastercraft Tristar 190 open bow. It has some minor issues, but overall has been a great boat for him and his family. He knows he needs a Nautique, just cannot throw down the money for a sport nautique right now.

Walt, That area is about 40 miles east of me. Beautiful Spot. Anderson lake is very fitting since most of the area is Scandinavian. I bought my first snowmobile in Mountain. The 1970 TNT Ski-doo was in short supply and that was the closest dealer who had one. You should try to get back up there. I'm sure it would bring back good memories.

Just saw this post. I was up there the 13-17 staying a a boat in site with about 100 other people. They counted 150 Saturday night when the week before group and our week after group are all there at the same time.

About Gas, the Resort actually just switched gas comapnies and they are fine with it. THe old gas company delivery guy was throwing a fit about it all of a sudden when it has been like that for years. They were selling gas on Friday, but not Wednesday I think.

The lake is beautiful! Did you see any of the turtles swimming?

How was the rope swing? When we showed up, the original tree it had been on for years had broken about halfway up and was laying in the water. I think some "aliens" put it on that other tree as you could use the one leaning against it to walk up and tie it on.

My friends family who I have been going with the last two years have been there the smae weeks for the last 35+ years.

You may have seen me, I think I saw your boat anchored right near the gas dock. I had the '88 2001 with the newer graphics and loud stereo.

I am in Redwood City, just south of San Fancisco.

We were camping not on the main lake, but on the really big offshoot right across from the resorts launch ramp. It was about a 3 minute ride from the gas dock to our site. If you stood on the launch ramp and looked directly across the main lake towards that offshoot we were over there.

We looked around for quite a while for a good tree to setup the rope swing on, but nothing really hangs out over the water enough to actually get you out there. We did swing on the new one, and if you let at the a second before the apex, it would throw you out and that worked well. If you wussed out and swung gently, you were landing in the soft muck. sluuuurrrpppp!

My boat has a white and blue bimini and is dark blue. I also have graphics from an 01 on it.
