My boat is an 83 with a 351 Ford, PCM marinization.hyper1685 has the quickest way to teel the difference. Of course if it's a Ford it will sound manly and not weak like a Chebby.

That "MT" is for Mickey Thompson, and is just an aftermarket valve cover. They made them for just about every engine out there.

chevy's have the distributor in the rear of the engine, fords are in the front. assuming that by "chebby" you mean chevy.

So I also found an '83 2001 for a decent price, but was wondering on the engine options of that year. I had heard of some models coming with a Chebby engine. Hopefully it is a ford, as it is listed as a 351. The only thing that threw me off is there is a "M/T" inscribed on the valve covers. Any thoughts?
Thanks, Brandon |
