I noticed yesterday, in removing the hose on the intake side of the trans cooler, that the nipple on the trans cooler which the hose slides onto, was bent inward on one side. Have any of you noticed a similiar bend? Any ideas what is causing this? The reason I ask is my buddy had the same problem with his, exact same location. I do not use anything to pry on it when removing the hose, just unscrew the hose clamp and pull off the hose.
Thanks.
John

John, The oil cooler is a light gauge copper that is easy to bend. The flat spot on the nipple is most likely from the flat spot on the hose clamp at the worm drive. Typical hose clamps don't tighten with equal force around the diameter. Try to see if you can find a "T" bolt type of hose clamp. They tighten with pretty equal force all around.

another good tip is, where the oil lines thread into the cooler is also a hex area to put another wrench on so you wont twist the cooler in that area when removing the hoses, i see more broken coolers or twisted coolers from guys not using 2 wrenches to remove the lines
