Nothing to do with boats but need to play with our new camera.

This was my best ride - '65 Sunbeam Tiger 260CI Ford (original engine). It was called a poor man's Cobra.   My brother had the flares done. I finished out the interior & added the hood scoop (made it from flat sheetmetal with no special tools).

It was selected to be in the Tiger Club calendar.

Sold it to a collector when my son was born to help pay for the house addition. My son is still mad about that!

Anybody else got a hot rod to show?

I love Tigers! Always wanted one and will have one in the future.

I had a very nice 1965 Alpine GT in high school (mid '80's). It was my first car. Lots of fun but I always was dreaming of a Tiger.

I almost bought a 1965 Tiger 2-3 years ago. MINT! BRG over Black, lots of LAT options, 32K original documented miles. I could only do $29K and his lowest dollar was $33K. He later sold it at auction for around $38K. I guess he was right!

I had Harleys in the '90's which were pretty built. My last bike was a '99 106" Dyna Wide Glide. That bike rocked! Sold all bikes when twins were born. How many times have we heard that story.

Oh Man! Is that sweet. Always loved MGA's and Healy 3000's. My brother's friend had a Austin Healy and I thought it was just to cool. Closest I got was a Triumph TR-7. Still a pretty nice car. Gotta try and find a pic.

You still got it?

I still have it, bought it in 82 took 4 years to finish,I'll never do it again.

John I remember when those TR7's came out no one liked them, now they too are a classic. At the time a Leyland dealer had to take 2 TR's to get a MG.Then they shut down the MG factory placed all their bets on the TR and not much later closed it down as well. Now the Chinese own the MG name and are building them over there. They were going to open a factory here, but now I hear thats cancelled.

This is good practice for me but I always forget how to do add these pics after about a month.I'd show a before pic on the MG,but it needs to resized and my tech support person has retired for the night and I didn't feel like pushing my luck

Cool car 62. What engine do you have in it?

My 1st car was a '37 Plymouth Sedan. I had to wax the bare metal on the roof to keep it from rusting. Had a ton of fun int it - suddenly was Mr. popular on my dorm floor because I was the only one with a car.

Gary - Cool bikes - We unloaded our fleet of Honda dirt bikes so we could swing the Nautique purchase. The Honda's hold their value very well, recouped most of the original investment. Hope you can find a Tiger someday, It was alot of fun to drive (not as much as a Nautique, however). Be wary because some people drop a 289 in the (4cyl) Alpine & try to pass it off as Tiger.

Chris

chris,
The car has a "p***y-cat" 350/350TH with a Moser/Ford 9" and 4:11s in it ...for now

Original plans were to build a 383 aluminum headed stroker... but I think im going to settle for a vortec headed 355 and an overdrive....should still run close to 12's and get in upper teens for fuel mpgs.

Josh, you out there today? He's got a stout 3.5 aluminum V8 conversion MGBGT and a very recently completed LS1-powered 3rd gen RX7. Just found out Josh is cruising down the highway, but he hooked me up with a link to this clip of his RX-7 firing up. Sounds OK for a SBC engine, and it is strong based off the first ride I took several weeks ago.     http://videos.streetfire.net/video/884d6aae-a430-420a-bf0c-9978009a136e.htm
He's got some action clips also and I've got the one of me dusting him with my Explorer.

Mike, youre right on about that RX7. Josh and I spoke about it at GL- Ive always loved that body style, and you sure cant beat one with a V8! Josh, refresh my memory- is the LS1 lighter than the rotary?

Josh seemed like a pretty quiet kid but I guess you don't need to say much when you can back it up like that. That RX7 sounds awesome.

Chris I have taken it to some shows but it is by no means a show car. I enjoy running it more then I enjoy looking at it. Right now it has a broke trans and rear end, thanks to my father.

Yes tim the LS1 is just a little lighter then the rotory.

He's got your car parked in his driveway. And rent for which just went up.

I guess I'll just have to buy a Miata, a 32V SC 5.4, and a shoe horn, and shut somebody up.

Why not put a big block in a Mustang, hang a dual quad intake on her.Add a 12x28 prop w/a wet nitrous system, she should be good for 60+MPH.

Ok, so now that I have seen this thread I am kicking myself for not buying the Alpine Sunbeam a couple years ago, and I have to go find the pictures of the Triumph, and the MG's I previously had. Maybe even throw in a picture of the Mustang for the fun of it.

Thanks...

Sabre, thats a Great looking MGB-GT V8, is that a 76 or so?
