Hi I am looking at a older 2001 nautique. What should I be looking for? Do any of you have any tips that will help me make a wise decision? Any help or advice would be great. Thanks

I bought a 1986 2001 about 5 years ago off the Internet. I drove several states to pick it up and was in a rush when I arrived. The owner did not allow me to "test ride" or ski behind the boat. Since I came so far, I bought it anyways. The boat was a "lemon" and needed many repairs. Now the boat has been restored from top to bottom and I love it.
So the moral of the story is, drive and ski behind it first, before buying (unless you like to restore boats). |

This has everything to look for when buying a used Nautique. I used printed it out and used it when I went to look at my boat. I actually gave the guy 1,700.00 less than he was asking because of a couple of minor things. Bent skag and exhaust water leak but everything else checked out~! |

If ya can't drive it then don't buy it. A very simple rule.
