Not a bad deal for $2800 as far as I can tell. The seller is a little difficult to work with- I tried to take a look at the boat when I was in FL in March and he blew me off. Strange way to do business.

There are a lot of deals on boats in florida... being that far from Tim B lowers thier potential value by the cost of round trip towing. The crate engine replacement comment always had me concerned that perhaps it isnt rotating right anymore?

That and the fact that Im not really the interested party in question... just an intermediary. My buddy bought the orange Skier from MI instead.
The blue FL boat was definitely intriguing though. Not cherry, but could have been brought back to mostly original shape without *too* much trouble. Stringers were supposedly replaced by a CC employee... from what I could gather from the pics, it looked like decent work. I think the longblock replacement was probably done right, as it still has a RH prop. A lot of the hardware was pretty pitted, and the trailer isnt original. Missing a few key parts, like the steering wheel and pylon... but otherwise, I really liked it. |

This Blue Holman Moody Skier has been for sale in the diaries for a little while now.
It looks really nice, but seems like the higher end of the price spectrum. |

No offense to the owner of that boat, but .
There are a few other light blue Skiers around, 2 of which are in Reid's hands. This light blue/cream one popped up this year: 1973 Skier Joe also has an all light blue '72 Stang. |

I just called on that Blue Skier... He lowered it down to $2600 now. I may have to go take a look and find money to buy it...... somewhere. lol Seems like a solid deal. Tim, did you notice anything about it that was problematic when you looked at it?

If the stringer job is half way decent and still holding up, and it runs well, then Id say thats a pretty good price. Other than the aforementioned trailer, pitted hardware and the few missing pieces, it seemed like a nice boat. I only have pictures that he sent me, I never saw it in person since he didnt return my calls.
