I love the sound of my '63, and of inboards in general. It may be a little engine, but it definitely can be heard. I'd never muffle a boat that was made un-muffled almost 50 years ago.
I have a jet boat with 454. It's loud, sounds great, but .... I'm getting old because I had decided to quiet it down a bit. I just began to feel like I was bothering people with it, both in the boat and on shore. Now I think I'm going to sell it if I ever find the CC I'm looking for, but I definitely get both schools of thought. |
