Wow. Sh!te dude.
I would just break out the Beretta if they were that close. That is crazy. I suppose they are that close at night behind my house but have just never crawled out of bed to look. I may need to get a motion light out back now. |

You guy's are going way too far to get deer-- If I can't reach out the back door and hit them with a bat,I can't be bothered, plus the overhead is lower,no bullets, gun or noise

If you guys want to have a good time killing coyotes you should come out to the great plains and get with a hunter that hunts them with greyhounds. I have a neighbor that has about 20 of the ugliest greyhounds you ever saw. They look like road maps since they have been stitched up so many times. It's just about the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Mike,
Nice looking gun. I have grown up around guns but only recently did I shoot an AR. I have always been partial to wood stocks and blued steel and didnt really care for assault rifles but I have to admit that the AR was the most enjoyable gun I have ever shot. Accuracy, recoil and function are all reasons my next gun purchase will be an AR. How would you rate the dpms. |

The neighbors? Ha. I like the DPMS a lot. I cannot compare to any as this is the only one I have shot. But it is kick ass. It is sighted in super tight at 200 yards. DPMS are local to me and the shop near me sells a ton of them. I had looked at some entry bolts both .223 and .243. Cabelas delayed me on the first .223. It happens every time. The local shop had the .243 available, but at least 10 days out. He convinced me to get the AR as a lot of guys use them for the coyotes. I also like the clip capacity so if there are a few you may get a chance. Not happening with a bolt action. Secondly, this was days after my dog was attacked, so there was the rage factor (read: impulse buy) and I was simply not willing to wait. Also got a decent scope, tripod, calls etc. I always kept a .22 around in case one ever came in my yard. I am a bit more determined than that these days. They just came back to my woods three nights ago. I have seen 3, and a neighbor saw 4. No kills yet. Death is coming. |

we sit on the back porch and listen to the coyotes howl at night.
Interesting story a friend of mine told me after he shot a coyote behind his home. It was tagged, so he traced it. State Farm Insurance...makes sense. |
