Your crank and cam are definitely STANDARD ROTATION. So basically all you needed to do is replace your starter with the proper one, and redo your plug wires on the cap . Below are pics of RR parts. Good luck with your project. Sorry, I just joined this past Fall and did not see your pics till today.

Well I got her running!! But when I went to put the tranny in gear, nothing happened......At that moment I shut her down and pull the tranny to check the pump.

Here is a picture pre instalation

Now I did see a arrow on my transmission, but I got all confused with the whole LH, RH rotation and did a internet search. (It had been a couple of months since I had to realy think about it.) I went off of this pic I found on the internet and was like "Its already LH rotation!!" just from the image, didn't notice the arrows.

Well I was wrong. This RH, LH, reverse, standard, in front of the motor, behind the motor can be maddening!!!

So the transmission is in and and it goes into gear, I still need to fine tune the engine and I have a prop on its way. Hopefull I can put it in the water soon to test it out.

Here are some updated pics of the boat
I got the tower, cabin speakers, radio and hull numbers installed.

Shawn,
It's great you are making progress. It won't be long before you can enjoy some water time and appreciate all the effort you've put in.

Don't worry about the LH, RH issue. Many including myself struggle with it as well. There are times when I have to close my eyes and imagine in my mind the rotation!

Update, Sorry its been a while, in the middle of April till June 15 I was on a project at work working nightshift, 6 days on, one day off, 13 hour shifts. So the last 9 days (working 4 of those days) has been a mad dash to get it finished for our camping trip next tuesday June 28th! Here is some of the things I've done

When I did the wheel bearings, I noticed the leaf springs were cracked, so I did replace the leaf springs, both sides.

And the bushings were very worn out,

And I replaced the prop shaft. Here is how I got the coupler off.

And trying to get the new coupler on was a PITA. I ended up putting the old one back on for now. Heated it up in the oven and the old one went on easier than the new one.

Made a jig to bend 3/4 inch conduit for the bimini top I made

And I used a conduit bender to make the 90° bends

Bimini frame on the boat

Time for carpet

Carpet complete

And yesterday was the first time on the water! Had to ajust the shif linkage, snuffing box packing and tighten down a few hose clamps and the carb to the intake. other than that she ran great!

Got the rest of the interior, the canvas for the bimini, and surf racks installed today! Im ready for our trip!

Nice job on the top,it really worked out nice. I have to ask about the registration numbers though, it looks as if you put the serial number of the boat on. Don't you have to register the boat with the state and they issue you a number much like your car gets a license plate? Don't want you getting stopped!

Shawn,
You certainly put plenty of nice work in your boat and now I wish you plenty of great times on the water.
