Seems like there should be a way to get some storage under there. Looks great.
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

Well finally figured out how the interior is going to be! not much to work with, but this is it. rear seat configuration, and gunnel shelves! some still need cpes.

Black seats would look cool, but bear in mind how hot they'll get in the hot summer sun. My boat has a black carpet for the floor and it can get pretty scorching at times.

Jeff, Im a little behind- but Id vote for gray pleated vinyl instead of black or white. Between those, Id go with the white though. On the floor, I see youre using Nautolex... which would have been original in the 60's and early 70's. By '75 though, wouldnt CC have used carpet? You can still get the black/gray grass carpet that would be perfect for your boat.

Some pics of new pieces of interior. some have been cpes<d and some are waiting in line. im using gorila glue and stainless nails to hold the seat base then 2 coats of cpes. then will be off to get covered next week! still cant make my mind up on color white or black seats.

I bet your first thought was correct... no way were those seats original in a '66. Ive seen a bunch of 60's boats with 70's style CC seats in them- no doubt because it took 5-10 years before the original wood framed seats rotted, and the dealer who did the repair replaced with modern seats (of the time).

Those wrap around buckets seemed to have been used very shortly in the mid 70's in Separator/Torinos, M17's and some of the larger boats.

was babbling, the old gen 1s had smaller impellers and did not move as much water thru the system unlike the gen 2,
i meant on the drive plate that you dial indicator it to the centerline of the crank and tighten, most dont, but and not required, but it does move on the bolts a bit and may not center perfectly. just a tip...

your running the gen 2, with the bigger pump? moves much more water than the gen 1, and hvae seen guys in the past eliminate and run and engine (sherwood) pump
since there is no way to completely center the drive plate or pilot it, you can dial indicator it in on installation, its a pain but worth the effort
