"Thank you to all who have signed up for an Official Mid West CCF Reunion
2015. We have 14 boats and 34 folks who committed to the event. We know of many more who intend on committing but have yet to do so. So here is where we sit down and have a big-boy talk. In the past, Correct Craft supported the event by authorizing vintage Nautique T-Shirt reproduction sales that offset nearly 1/3 of the cost of the reunion. It was effective and a reliable fund raiser because the shirts were great on their own, and helping finance past reunions was a good side benefit. However, that promotion did not materialize this year so we can no longer count on that revenue to subsidize the event. To have all the great features of a official event like awards, raffles, beer, pig roasts, burgers and dogs and tents during the event, we would need healthy T-Shirt sales and commitments from 40 boats totalling 130 people to offset the costs. Without T-Shirt sales, we need closer to 60 boats and 180 people. We are very far off the pace to hit those numbers. Deposits on items like Park rental, Legion hall rental, 50% deposit for the caterer, etc, become non-refundable on June 17th (about 3 weeks before the event). If we don't have the commitments from the community to financially support the reunion, we will either down-scale the event or return all the money and it becomes a unofficial mini-reunion where everybody is on their own. Still a lot of great boats and folks, Goose Blind nonsense and campfire conversations for the mini, but we will lack the nice features like pig roasts under the tent, awards, and of course kegs of beer. Please don't interpret this grown-up reality check to mean we've lost our enthusiasm for the event. We haven't by any measure but without sponsors (Which we haven't had in years) and without fund raising(Shirt Sales) the full expense falls on attendance and registrations. This is our last reminder of how the community makes and enables the largest Correct Craft and Nautique gathering on the planet a reality. So, If you are attending, We need you to sign up now Please. Your action or inaction determines the decision we'll have to make in just a few weeks from now. Thank you Dave, Alan and Steve." |

Paul, you updated your Classic diary with pics of your '71... Its diary ID 500. Not sure why you did that instead of creating a new one for the promo- computer challenged maybe?
http://www.correctcraftfan.com/diaries/details.asp?ID=500 I'm in. |

Where are all the Michigan guys at, an easy ride for you??
Tullfooter, Connorson & Seperator have never made an appearance, you guys not like us or something?? James Bragg (who at least has shown up a couple times) has pulled a complete Houdini, no word from Kirk or Wes to name a few more, lets Go!!! And then there is the Indiana crew, yea you CBass, Zach, Dr Stevens (or is he MI?) and the rest of you Hoosiers, where you at??? Is the fastest Nautique in Indiana afraid to face off against the likes of JoeInNY and Timmy's BFN Bryan???? And where are all the Cheese heads, did wisco add a new Deer Hunting season that coincides with Green Lake or something, sheezz |

For me, the GL weekend conflicts with all-important family time (once a year to see niece and nephews) so 2015 isn't going to happen this summer, sadly.
So to those on the fence, I had a great time two years ago and am very sad to be missing the reunion. |

Vernon, Keith has to manually add you to the list. If you got a paid receipt you should be fine but check the registration page in the next few days and if you don't see yourself added to the list let me know. Assuming you're bringing the Atom, good to see another wood boat showing up. |

I fully plan to attend a reunion with the finished (or at least usable) 67SN one of these days, or possibly host a mini down at Dale Hollow. Not in the cards this year as I've already got plans for all my vacation. |

Gents, you know I would if I could.
My wife and I are both disappointed that we cannot make it. One of our favorite boating events. But, a conflict goes to our kid, and in this case, it's here biggest meet of the year. She wins. I hope you get the numbers up. Some of my favorite people, and none of you live within 1500 miles of me. BKH |

I'm really trying to bribe my dad and uncle that it's way worth it. They think it will be boring if not a lot of people go. Someone give me good arguing facts to hit them with please !
