Lets see where the investigation leads and the cards fall. I am all for investigating allegations of wrong doing, but I can wait until the investigation is complete before I speak. It is always possible to have another Watergate (All The President's Men is one of my favorite books), but it is also possible be misled to a position based on partisan hysteria. As with any investigation lets go forward on reasonable and steady course and not be swayed by this intent on making political hay from unsubstantiated claims. Investigations frequently lead in unanticipated directions.

And John, I respect what you're saying about jumping on bandwagons, but the wheels are off most of the wagons already.

John, A few days ago you said the investigation was nauseating and should go away. It could have been gone months ago if we were given strait answers. At each step we uncover more misrepresentations (a nice way to say lies), and cover ups. The same is happening with the IRS. Each new lie found means further investigation, so things just keep rolling along.

The IRS has already admitted they had targeted conservative groups ahead of the inspector generals report(isn't the government investigating the government about like Enron investigating Enron?) Today we found out senior white house aids knew about the report in April, but no one told Obama ( oh please...I am sorry but does anyone believe that?). This started out as low level staffers, but again the lies keep getting proven wrong, so the investigation continues. The IRS targeting has far reaching implications. Clearly the intention and result of the IRS targeting was to de-fund the groups that had been so effective against big government in 2010. It puts into question the legitimacy of every democrat elected in 2012. For all the lefts complaining of illegitimate presidents we may actually have one, along with politicians at every level of government. If that is not the very definition of a tyrannical government I do not know what is. This from the administration that was supposed to unite us. Personally I think it is grounds to recall every dem elected in 2012. As in Dave's quote, THEY should fear US. Sunday the white house spokes person said the legality of what the IRS did is irrelevant. What?... Really????

The over-riding trends are an attempt to bolster the government machine by disregarding laws, ethics, and individual rights. Very scary yet exactly what many on the right were predicting from an Obama presidency back in 2007. You get the government that you elect.

Sad that very few care. We have four dead Americans, and a government that fostered the conditions that led to it and then lied about it to get re-elected.   Some of us are bothered by that and will have keep caring enough to make up for the rest that don't find it politically advantageous to do so.

I don't understand people having blind faith in politicians, especially when they obviously lie to the public to mislead them. There is no law against public officials lying to the public and there ought to be. What is it about the public sector that turns people into liars?

Thank goodness we didn't end up with a president greedy for power and other peoples money. Thatvwould have been horrible.
