Seems there's a little editing going on with Hollywood's picture, but I'm glad Skicat caught it.

Some of you may remember that right after my GPS speed run I was having problems with jerky acceleration and hesitation. I took it out on Sunday for the first time since Reid's gathering and found 2 possible culprits. There is something in my fuel filter about the size of a pea, and I had a loose wire cap on the distributor. Boat ran great all day and my stepson learned to kneeboard! No more tubing

I knew that boat was trying to pass a kidney stone that afternoon, or it was the carma coming from the neighbor lady up the road ??? hahahaha. Glad to see everything is working out and you're keeping the tube at the dock more !!!! Moj' |

Apparently a few minutes before Tim B handed us the GPS the lady at the end of the cove was raging on the group for all the noise. I had no idea and started ripping back and forth with reckless abandon. Oooops! Nothing like the sound of an unmuffled 302 at WOT to rustle some feathers. I was a little embarrassed being the new guy causing problems. |

I can answer that one in more detail: Our neighborhood watchdog, a fiesty 70yr old lady, who's normally a very dear friend, lives just 5 doors down further into the cove. She has always had a problem with boats coming into or down the cove at speed, esp louder ones, regardless of whether or not they infringe upon the 150' no-wake reg's. So just imagine us lining up 5-6 footers behind Eddie's BFN from the very head of the cove and pulling right by her house numerous times, and then there's my loud Mustang circling around, Keegan's equally loud red baron, and whatever else we were having fun with. Well she cruises by mid afternoon on her poontoon (sic) boat and proceeds to shriek directly at our dock with a ear-bleeding pitch,....."stay...out...of...the...cove!!" So we did,.....after Keegan innocently and unknowingly wrapped up. Several days later I had to pull over on our narrow road so she could pass by, and she doesn't even acknowledge my presence. Once or twice a year maybe, we have something going on. She'll get over it. |

Keegan,
Don't let Reid blame you for stirring up granny....I think he might have laid the ground work for you. From a couple years ago reid playing in the cove |

OMG, I forgot about the Speed Skiff, as that thing really did light her up. Last year after running it, she drove down, came out on our dock and verbally blasted us to smithereens, and we hadn't even made it down to her house with it. It was just the noise apparently.
And Gary, indeed somewhat similar to Mrs Kravitz, but Gladys was married to a man. (I hope that doesn't come back to haunt me, as she really has been a great neighbor aside from the boating scraps) |

Reid, when we came to visit you in the fall of '08, you stopped to talk to 2 older ladies in the road that were friendly and somehow knew we were having lobster for supper that night. If that was the same lady, next time I'd say you need to buy her off up front with a care package from up north.

That was them Bruce, as they'd been talking to Laurie. And yes, that's an excellent idea, but it may take half the lobstas in Maine to keep her at bay!

Then maybe you got to have Hollywood deliver them so he can sweet talk her.

I'm afraid you guys missed my point above. It would take Melissa, Shannon or Dana to do the sweet-talking in this case, unless that's what Hollywood was trying to say.

Well now we know why she's so cranky. Not enough tube steak in her diet.

Reid, I heard ya, I just thought it more appropriate to sacrifice Hollywood. I hope she doesn't read this thread or she's never going to acknowledge you. Maybe a little editing is in order?
