kap, love the pics.
Here are a few from right before New Year's.Been a while since I've seen this boat hit the water! I was there on her last run before the tear down. Running and looking better than ever. A lucky 70s day in between 40s and 50s. I sure hope it's warmer this weekend... Practicing my LakeBoy start from years ago. Eddie still perfecting new tricks, toe ups front and back. 90% driver right? Cherry Pockets finally got bathrooms. Here's one reidp and peter1234 can both love (or hate). |

yep good pics from both Kap and HW,
FL is sounding about like NorCAL about now, we are hoping for 65 this week. Kap, have you tried longline? on the high boom it's hard to get leaned more forward but longline you can stand up more and have less lean away. Also try to let go with one hand. here's two vids, first a nice long sideslide on longline SuperFlyHigh from last winter. and longline from my first few longline attempts at sideslide watch how I raise the handle up(pretty sure thats why I crashed) |

So anyone know who that Barefoot Sanger belongs to in the background? It has a red windshield frame.

I think it's Wade Masters, it had been for sale in CA for quite a while, it does have a red frame. He brought it out to FL and set it up with help from the WBC.
edit: Yep here it is arriving in FL for its makeover and new life. |

Kap,
I learned the longline sideslide using both the SFH and "standard" extended pylon (because my boat does not have SFH- I did but took off the tower and went back to std fly high). So I got to use both and it did not make much difference. However I am considering doing something like this but I will be using the SS Fly High X2. Double stacked one on top of the other. remove cables from one stack other on it. You can buy two brand new flyhighs for $800...most already have one. A tower is 2K the SFH(tower extention) is 1K. (there are plus' and minus' on both) |

oh and to practice for longline begin to lower your boom a bit til you get it down headhigh and can sideslide there comfortably...then go longline, don't forget you can and should go back directly on boom and perfect the lean/slide, the reason you can let go one hand is there is very little friction/resistance when sliding in a more upright stance.
You can see in a few of my sideslide videos as I snap feet back to forwards the increased pull/resistance almost pulls me out the front. |

Is BF Central getting a "difficult" reputation within the BF world? I watched the videos last night of Small/St. Onge explaining their position not to participate in the freestyle video contest and then Chuck Gleason commenting on their reasons. Why would either party even care enough to make and share a video about their rationale?

I can't think of anything but don't talk to Keith about Chuck, he really screwed Keith on a business deal once.

IMO
That's all water under the bridge- now the WBC is partnered with Eagle for their barefoot suits so they are back in business together. Chuck used videos to drive business to his site, so does the WBC so from a business prospective it may not make sense for Smallz and St. Onge to submit videos to BFC. both Smallz and St.Onge have videos up on their WBC site that are pretty much "freestyle" |

Sorry Andy, I should have been clearer. I meant our Keith (CCF Keith) not KSO. |

i have though about the double extension, but wondered if it would overstress the pylon mount to hull. also i guess there would be more tilt on lateral pull. watcha think? |

Kap, so far no one has had a problem with a pylon, I don't think it really adds more load to the pylon because of the offset of the cables to the front. its not for wakeboarding- footing only- for tricks and wakes(I don't know if they used it for jump) I think the load is transmitted mainly straight down on the pylon.

It seems like Chuck and BF Central might have that same Over marketing hype persona that Lane Bowers has developed. It does seem like Lane is a good coach though and Chuck seems to have good products. To me, it's pretty obvious that the freestyle videos that Chuck et al put on youtube are the type of footing stuff that the masses would be most interested in watching. Impressive stuff and just more interesting than watching a 3 event trick run. Just my opinion though. I'd be happy to ski like any of the videod 3 eventers or freestyle guys. |
