Hi, newbie posting for first time. I just bought an 82 nautique. The only problem that I am having is, the steering wheel is making a rattling sound. The actual center peice is rattling. Anyone else have this problem? How do you take off the center cap?
Also just thought I might ask, the chrome is in not in good shape (pitting) ... what would you recommend? thanks John Orr |

Check out the thread on page 9 of the Boat Maintenance Forum from March 13, 2004 entitled "Can’t get steering wheel off ’73 Mustang" This should explain how to pull yours. The wire clip is right out on the top of the center button, but it is not real easy to see unless you're looking for it.
