I debated upon posting this, but I will:
Sadly, my old girl has been sitting silent and dry in the garage the last couple of weeks, in spite of some outstanding fall weather. I was hoping to get her in today and maybe take the "last ski" of the year, but the schedule will not allow. Tina and I will be headed for Ngeranyi, Kenya early tomorrow. We are going with some partners and friends from around the state of Missouri to visit a "Child Development Center" that we have helped build. This center has 80 children enrolled, many of whom are orphans because of disease, malnutrition, and a lack of clean water. This center is literally keeping children alive. I don't know what to expect, but I am looking forward to going. The world is groaning right now, there are needs greater than anyone can meet, from our own back yard to, well, Africa. But, person by person the world changes. I'll be back in a couple of weeks and, as usual, will enjoy the banter and revelry of this great group of guys,and great friendships. Chuck |

Chuck, its a trip every American should take, sometimes you need to see the trees through the forrest, I to respect what you are doing and I hope you will report in on the tragedies when you return

And we complain about high gas prices....kind of puts things in perspective. btw, After talking with you, Pam and I did get the 'skier out this afternoon...might be one of the last rides of the year... pretty nice for mid-Oct in northern IL.
