Wow... I hate to bring up the media and it's many faults once again. But... check this out.
Palin came to Beaver County yesterday. Look at our little confused local, Pittsburgh wanna be paper and what it had to say.

www.timesonline.com

I will be honest by saying that I did not read what they wrote about when Oboma came here and I will now research the past issues.

Greg,
Maybe it's just me, but it seemed obvious as to who the writer (J.D. Prose?)was going to vote for. The BC Times has always been one sided. It's ok if their on my side.
I am very frustrated right now with politics. Heck,my 12 and 14 year old children are writing essays on who they would vote for and why. The teachers are giving "their" opinions.
I am very much looking forward to the big day and I think it calls for an evening of drinks and friends that lasts till Wednesday.
In the meantime...I will lock myself in the garage and continue stripping the paint off of the Mustang.

In the garage with your mustang may be a wise choice. The running joke this morning on the radio in Atl is 'where do you want to be in the event that McCain pulls this out?!!?'

Preferably locked in my basement, nowhere near any 'black neighborhoods' 'case you know some ***************'s getting burned & some race riots will happen.

Sorry if that was a bit a bit harsh...actually no, im not, Because if he does manage to pull it off, I have money on it that that will happen. & I dont EVER gamble.

Nate, if we had more like you who were willing to speak their mind...on anything really instead spitting out an easy answer!

I took the chicken's path on my statement above, but we are in agreement on the answer. Then general answer here is 'not in downtown!'.

There's also talk of unrest no matter who wins?!!?

Greg, I thought you were going to start preaching as to "why" I should vote for ObAma.

Yeah....In the garage working on the Mustang. Good idea.

I don't know if you read one of my earlier posts but we already have rioting in the schools. I agree, no matter who wins there will be definite unrest.

I wonder if the child gets detention if their essay states that they would vote for McCain.

My brother had it out with one of his kids teachers after said teacher was directing assignments with her own political views.

I don't agree. Although radical conservatives can be just as passionate as radical liberals, they behave differently.

Radical conservatives don't:

slice up tires of liberal get out the vote busses on election day

shoot up homes with liberal signs out front

threaten to leave the country if the other guy wins (why dont they ever follow through with that)

say and get away with saying liberal leaders/candidates should be shot/killed like so many Hollywood/Air America knotheads have said and gotten away with

attempt to sabatage a sitting president's campaign (Dan Rather)

perpetrated extensive voter fraud (ACORN)

scream racism every time someone says they are going to vote for the other guy based on his policies

stand on stage in foreign countries and criticize our President

and on and on and on.

No, if Obama wins, life will go on for conservatives, at least until they are taxed and 'redistributed' to death.

Steve - We'll find out.

I disagree with what the teachers are doing, but I have taken "the other route". I DO dislike politics, but what the teachers are doing, "forces" me to sit down with the kids and discuss my opinions and why I made my choice. Then, of course they relay that to the teachers and the next evening there's a new discussion and new online questionaire. It's great in the beginning because the kids learn how it works and how to weigh the candidates based on their views and blank promises. But, it's getting old now. I think their teachers goals are to have all the kids choose according to teachers rule.

Prerequisite-my mother and sister are both teachers.

I've heard it said that the teacher's unions are a greater threat to our nation than terrorism...

My son (Waterskier2007) is attending the University of Michigan (can you say liberal?). Two years ago, before his freshman year, I told him to use his own experiences to draw his opinions, and to be aware of the political slant that his professors may harbor. Last week, my wife asked him about how he feels about the upcoming elections, and if he has been swayed to the left (dark) side. He replied to her question, saying that after a year and a half in Ann Arbor, he can't wait to cast his vote for McCain. Smart kid.

I emailed this to the kids' school emails. I know the teachers watch and talk about this show.

Thread jack
If you guys can find it, there is a funny radio clip from Howard Stern (sorry, not a huge fan of HS). One of his minions goes into Harlem and interviews people about Obama, but using McCain's platform as Obama's. He even asks if they like the choice of Palin as Obama's running mate. It's quite amusing. Sorry I couldn't post a link. One of these days I'll figure this machine out.

for not having political opinions, you guy's sure are opinionated.
Look at it this way, if Obama does become president maybe it will make the black race feel as (finally) equals to the whites and they wont be able to cry racism when the rodneys get beat up or the OJ's dont get jail time. maybe this will equal the scoreboard and racism will be a thing of the past, and the race card will desolve.
