They don't require any money for my gas. I just swipe a card... so it's free right?

How can talking about $3.00+ gas prices be fun??
On the other hand, I pulled out the gas tank from the project American Skier and it had about 5 gallons of 3 or 4 year old gas in it. I'm mixing a couple gallons at a time in my truck to get rid of it, but that stuff probably was 1.30/gallon. |

In NC, where I live it jumped .12 yesterday to 2.26 for regular at the gas stations, premium is 2.49. Gas should be cheaper at the marina, they shouldn't charge highway tax which is .43 a gallon in NC. Farmers can get non-highway diesel for their tractors, why not non-highway gas for boats?

Brookfield, WI $2.35 at the pump. I'm not even going to check at the marina. Great thanks to the highest state tax in the union!

I'm not sure about that highest tax in the union thing. I think we might have you beat in California. I live in the burbs, and yesterday, the cheapest regular at the pump within 10 miles was $2.55 a gallon. It's 25 to 30 cents higher in San Francisco. BKH |

Good Info CCSkier16.
Found this site for the American Petroleum Institute. They total it up and give a bar chart for states 1-50. http://api-ep.api.org/filelibrary/ACF15F.PDF Per the API Top 5 gasaline taxes in US in cents per gallon Hawaii 54.7 Nevada 51.6 New York 51.4 California 50.8 Wisconsin 49.9 Alaska is number 50 at 32 cents per gallon. Crazy isn't it. Get taxed 30,40, 50 percent on what you made, and then get taxed 20 or 30 percent on what you spend. Doesn't leave much does it. BKH |
