Newbie to the site and forum. Hello Y'all from God's country. South Carolina!

I have a question that no one has answered for me. I have an '82 Ski Nautique 2001. I have had her for 7 years. Several years ago the battery gave up the ghost. I replaced it with a Wall World special because I could not find or get ifo as to what was the correct battery. The battery I was replacing had no ID marks. Now the walmart special is failing. I would like to replace this with as close to original equipment as possible. I just want the damn thing to fit in the battery box.

Any suggestions? What and where?

Thanks
Chuck

I had to invest in a new battery this spring. After reading some recommendations on this forum, I bought a AC/Delco 660CCA. I just need a starting battery, I don't have a radio or anything. Only bilge pump and fan.

It seems like a good value. I think it comes down to one about this price range or an Optima battery for about twice as much. From what I read, AC/Delco is a good battery for $70-$90.

So far so good with this one.

Thanks for the info. The optima is a little pricey but may end up there. I will check out the Delco first. Thanks again.

I have the same boat and have a blue top optima. I run my radio, lights, and 4 speakers off of it, never had an issue. Was well worth the purchase. Make sure you dont get the 34 family it will not fit in are battery box. I have the 27 family series with no issues....

If you are a memebr of BJ and/or Sams they have the Blue Tops much cheaper! I got mine for about $45 bucks less than Autozone had it listed for! They are a different model number but the same battery, they just relabel them for Bjs!
