Ok, I have been reading this site for help with my upcoming stringer replacement. Lots of useful tips/tricks for me. Using Skibum's(I believe) website and Lance's pictorial for reference on wood floor, Thanks.

Douglas Fir for the primaries, pine for the secondaries, and untreated 3/4" plywood with CPES and epoxy resin for the floor. Also, will use the 4lb foam. These decisions seem to be discussed to no end. Like the fillet, 2/4/8 method for glassing stringers.

Question 1) Ballpark how much epoxy resin, 10 gallons good starting point. I have seen numbers from 4-20 gallons. 5 layers on the floor seems to be a satisfactory amount.

Question 2) Stringers with resin only, even the 2/4/8 cloth will not cover the entire stringer. Should I glass each side, glass from hull on one side to the other to completely enclose stringer.

Question 3) Want to use epoxy/filler to seal edge between hull and floor then lay a solid sheet (per side) of 10oz glass from rear/front and hull/bilge. Good/Bad idea. Does the hull seam or seam at floor and stringer need more glass. 3M 5200 seems to be the prefered caulk for this.

Any pointers would be appreciated. I am completely new to this, but have 2 months before school starts and about 12 days of vacation not counting weekends.

I used 11 gallons on my Barracuda. But that was with a 3/4 plywood floor that was epoxied. I did not put 5 layers over the plywood floor.
I did fill and glass the gap at the hull and glass the floor to the Sringers.

I used the 2/4/8 cloth and then clothed each side and then biaxial from hull over stringer to hull to completely enclose the stringer.

I only used 5200 when I used a screw and then used resin over that. I tried to use resin and glass where possible.
