Help with electrical problem

I just did a rebuild on my 78 nautique and I have an odd electrical problem and I am wondering if I hooked electrical connection wrong.

So engine starts and seems to run well. The Amp meter does what you would expect and the tach works as expected.

So here is the hitch.

The oil gauge, the temp gauge read obserdly high as soon as the ignition is on (engine off.) Same deal if the engine is runnng. When the ignition is off the gauges read 0.

If I remove the wire from the sender(s)the gauges go back to 0( ignition 0.

The fuel gauge is reading very low, but to be frank there is only 5 gallons in the tanks and that might just be normal.

I was wondering if I hooked something wrong (ignition or altnerator?) that is causing the cuurent flow to be high.

I ordered a new oil sender and it should arrive tomorrow, but my sense is this is not two buggered senders.

Looks like I missed one of the grounds to the engine. Touch it to the block and all is well.
