A rival forum has a "glass waters" thread, it has some great pics in it, so I thought we should have one too!

You just can't beat the feeling of riding on perfectly smooth water, I give up on tricks and just carve about outside the wake when there's glass to be had!

I think the "butter" description is perfect: mellow carving turns feel like spreading soft butter on fresh bread!

Nice shots! We had great water last night but got too busy skiing to take pics! I'll get some tonight!

Lake Lillinonah CT Weather wasn't that great but it was the glassiest glass I ever skied. When I was cutting out I looked down at the water and saw a perfect reflection of myself, talk about disorienting. It made me dizzy. In the pics it's not as flat as it could be because we cut it up a little prior to taking the pics.

On this same day for kicks we attached the ski rope to my 100' bf rope and skied 175' off the back of the boat. Quiet back there, relaxing too.

Our river in the moring till about 09.30 AM and in the evening after 07.00 PM...

Which allow us to do fun things like this...

- Gun control means: using BOTH hands!
- Money doesn't make one happy, but when it rains cats and dogs, it's still better to cry in a Porsche than on a bicycle...

This is the lake we live on. It's like this all the time. The problem is that I can't run my BFN on this lake. This pic was taken the day of a show. We had an exception for the ski show. We use the little Larson with a 90hp Johnson (Max HP allowed ) outboard to ski with.

This shot of Marshall's boat running along the St John's River in Florida back in Feb ranks as one of my favorite glass water shots. For scenic cruising and always some calm water to be found, this river ranks among the best I've ever seen.

While not exactly "butter" for Green Lake, its about as good as it gets..

Heres what happens when seaweed gets sucked up in the water pickup tube of an old outboard..

at least we could enjoy the 3 miles of smooth water back to the dock!
