Does anyone have suggestions for computer software that would allow me to put together some videos with music and fonts like alot of the videos we see here at the site? I just bought a new HD video camara and would like to put some videos together for my friends. Also any suggestions on mounting the camara on a tower for boom shots would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Ryan

Before spending a lot of money on software, try windows movie maker, a standard, included on any windows computer. Thats all I have used with a moderate degree of success. You can edit, clip, cut, paste, copy, add music and titles. You can see some of my work products (not including Keiths "Northeast amateurs" video, (which I "borrowed")) at the link below. It does not do some things, like fancy titles, 3-D effects for transitions or slow motion, but it does the basics. Tinker with that, and if you get bored with it, upgrade to one of the commercially available packages.

No ideas on mounting the camera, but I did like Andys' shots from above on his latest video over on the BF thread.

Thanks, I'll start there. I would really like to mount that camara as I have a remote to use and by buddies could drop it deep six.
