It's here, it's here, it's FINALLY here!!

Yes, sports fans NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL season has begun.    Effective today (for some of us), our Saturday trips to the lake have ceased. Instead of being in the drivers seat with a wheel in one hand and a throttle in the other; we'll be in the recliner with a brew in one hand and a remote in the other. (Unless of course there is a reunion goin on.)

I know your out there, and I've seen a few of you wearing your colors so let the battles of the grid iron and the smack talking commence

Let's here it for the SEC, the best conference in the land.

GOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooo DAWGS! Sic em'! woof, woof, woof!

I agree, college football is great to watch however I'll take Big10 football over the SEC any day. Heck it doesn't even snow down there and whats football without a little snow!

Go Hawks!

Tim,
Sadly college football season means that baseball season is winding down. I can't talk much smack, but maybe those Mizzou Tigers will surprise a few people this year.

I made the decision about 10 years ago that life is way too short to sit inside and watch other people play sports, particularly pro sports. Just made no sense to me to watch a bunch of overpaid cry babies when I had a perfectly good boat parked outside the door, and a perfectly good golf course three blocks away.

That said, if my Cal Bears are on TV, and I don't have to miss something else to watch the game, it's the one sporting event I still enjoy. Go Bears!

Michigan vs Notre Dame
I'll be in section 10. After that, late night cruise in the BFN.
Play hard, life's not a trial run.

Cal had our number this year. I was hoping for a repeat of last year but didn't hold my breath. Fortunately I missed the game this year. I do like it when they mix the schedule up. I was excited last year when they announced the Terps would play Cal in '08 & 09. Conference rivalries are fun but I like to see the lesser known, perenial non-contenders get an opportunity to take a shot at the higher profile programs. Usually the outcome is ugly, but you never know!
