   Hey guys there some great posts on the carb threads but I would like to hear some ideas and experience with props.

I have an 88 Ski, it runs 42 mph at 4400 rpm and I have a 13x13 3 blade (stock) prop.  I'm thinking 4 blade for smoothness but will I loose too much speed?  It may be another topic but what I would REALLY like is 45 mph for 1 foot barefoot speed.  Maybe gt40 heads and a manifold.

	I did the prop experiment on my 84 last summer. Eric at OJ sent me a new three blade to try first and it was better than my old one. It still had a lot of vibration and the speed stayed at 42. I then tried the four blade and the first I punched it out of the hole I was all smiles. The top speed went down to 40 which kind of bummed me out for footi'n. The holeshot, much less vibration, and maintaining speeds were enough to make my decision. However, I would still love that 45mph mark also for foot'n. Hope this helps. OJ Legend 4orce is the one

	Bryan, I use a acme 470 prop 12.5 x 15 with .105 cup and turn it 5000 rpm and a top end over 60 mph should be good for footing. I have a class II long block from Japser with an electronic dist, performer intake, the engine is balanced, and heads improved. You should be able to make a lot of these mods to your engine as well oh it's a 351W rev rotation in my 79 ski nuatique it produces around 310 hp.

	ive got the ACME 540. what a difference from stock. all the vibration is gone, and the top speed went from 42 to about 44. (86 SN 2001) Chris

	Chris, Do you know if the ACME 540 comes in different sizes and if so what size did you put on your 86 SN 2001. Bryan

	Bryan, The ACME 540 is a 3 blade 13x12 RH prop. ACME makes many different size props. if you call them, they will tell you the best prop for your boat and needs. ACME website Chris
