What is the wake like behind the Sport Nautique (1997) for skiing. How does it compare to the ski nautique. I love to ski but kids love to wake board. Any knowledge would be great.

I am more familiar with the 98 sport which has exactly the same hull as the 98 nautique. It is 1.5 feet longer, and 200lbs heavier. So, the ski wake is good. Very similar to adding and extra 200 lbs into a ski nautique. If I recall correctly, the 97 Sport Nautique has approximately the same hull as a 96 Ski Nautique (TSC hull was introduced on Ski Nautique in 97, but the hull for Sport Nautique was not revised until 98. Again, the boat is 1.5 feet longer and appoximately 200 lbs heavier. The wake should be very good unless you are doing short line course skiing. At recreational levels and for course skiing by mere mortals, the ski wake should be very good. As for wakeboarding, many claim that the 97s put out a larger and better shaped wake than the 98s, particularly when weighted with ballast. BKH |
