I'm informally polling the CCF community.
Would anyone be interested in following the restoration of a mid-eighties 2001 Ski Nautique? If CCF site rules allow I want to post updates, pictures, and/or multimedia as the project progresses. If there is enough interest I will produce material documenting tips, techniques, and materials used. We can learn together. Drop me a line or reply if this sounds like something you would like to see. Thanks for the cool site Keith, it is truly a CC fan's dream come true. |

What's the big deal? This has already been done on here several times. Another one would certainly be welcomed!

Yeah, also search for what has been done here, blend your skills and techniques with others' innovations
then share as you go, we'll all be better off for it. |

Really no need to ask. Have at it. Threads like that are very popular, the two biggest ones that come to mind are weeding the pumpkin patch and a 351 from scratch. Threads like that make good winter reading. Good luck with the project and remember....lots of pictures.

I saw your pics. I went through the same thing when the ducts between the bow and engine compartment became brittle. LOTS of water that went into the air scoop ended up in the foam instead of the bilge. Thanks for the input on restoration postings.

I now have and air box were all the vents and cable enter and from there to the bilge they go inside pvc pipes (all of the resto´s here went that way, and from where i took the info to do my set up) so no water should enter to the foam..anyway my boat once sunk (not literally but flipped and it remain floating with water to the deck level..) so I can say that 80% of water in the foam is due to that event...

Go to it!! Welcome to the site. Your contributions will add to the existing wealth of knowledge here. If you run into any problems, there's always someone who can help out.
I'm big on true restorations (original) so I hope that's what you are planning. One thing I always like to see is a least a first name in the profiles. You'll find that most here unlike other site do reffer to one another by first names. Tell us more about yourself and the boat. |

old story and the learning was never borrow your things to other unless they give you a signed empty check (and with enough funds to cover it)...
i will put my story in a new post so I don´t jack this one... |
