Last Thursday, I had the great pleasure of meeting two fellow site members; Billy (Boat dr) and Chip (Chips Ahoy) in Frederick, SD for a pheasant hunting trip. I had never before hunted pheasants, nor any birds to speak of. We managed to get our limit by late afternoon and had a fantastic time. Also in the hunting party were Michael Brown and John Dawsom from Louisiana who came up with Billy.
Cannot wait to meet them next year for another hunt.

A couple pics below. Note the Boat Doctor blaze orange hats !!!

Me, Billy, and Chip

The whole crew

Thanks guys for the invite!!!!!

Looks great guy's, how come you didn't invite d*ck Cheney back again this year?

The bird hunters (neighbors/friends) are set up and bangin away on our lake again this year, nothing like skiing along past a blind with muzzles stickin out. Decorating their decoys when we are finished skiing never gets old.

Dang Quinner, you'd better be putting extra padding in your shorts if you're going be messing with people's decoys like that.

Bob, we carried 5 dogs up there and also used the outfitters dogs, Brittany Spaniels, on select very small driven hunts in standing corn.
Our kennel consisted of Two Brittany Spaniels,John Dawson, and Three American Pointers that own "ME"..
What a HOOT to have a group that all own CCrafts, have a common intrest enjoy a week together and never raise an engine hood........Ha Ha
Mike will be back next year, now to find him a nice English Side by Side.A 20 guage about 5 lbs w/26" barrels would be a great addition to his stable of Correct Craft boats. A fine gun followed by a good dog that comes home to a good wife after a good hunt has a GOOD LIFE.......
Thank you Mike and Chip for the hunt of a lifetime........Boat dr

The weather was a "blessing" a good frost in the morn followed by 45 highs with a little cloud cover. I could not asked for anything that would have added to the overall experience. Billy

Oh did you say something about snow or ice Chuck, sorry I was taught down here                                                                    "Just Say No To Snow"

HW,   if you look closely, the three hats in the middle are actually "Boat Doctor" hats,   a couple have camo bills, the other is all orange.
Pretty cool, I thought.

I kinda like the "old School" look of the hat I wear, the others were a gift from ChipsAhoy.
Eric if you have ever tasted pheasent "WHOLE" you would understand the reason behind "breast them out"...........
The breast is by far the only part to savor for.Stripped and battered or any combo of recipes that do this little bird justice........Billy

Now to find Wakeslayer a weapon equal to the sport we so dearly love...........Webley Scott in 20 ga. is still available Mike. After all it is only money....Mike can you post a pic of that gun I sent to you.

Wow...very nice looking gun. Used to go hunting a bit with my Tennessee friends but they never let me carry a gun. Knew better.
