I am trying to purchase a 1983 Correct Craft and am trying to locate the boat registration plate to find out the VIN # or any other location that it may be in?

The HIN (hull identification number) will be molded into the gel coat towards the top of the transom.

Pete is absolutely on the money (just don't look inside the boat)  ...... that location is just beneath the rub rail when looking at the starboard transom from the swim platform area behind the boat.

That would be the right side facing the boat from the rear. The last two digits are the model year.
