Hay gang it's been a while!!

I am considering purchasing a extended pylon for my 73. No I am not taking off the ring and finger!!

The questions I have are:

Are they worth it?

Someone told me that on the older hulls like mine the boat lists from side to side as the wakeboarder crosses the wake is that true? If so how bad.

I guess if anyone with an older boat that has one of these installed ccould give me some info on how the boat reacts with one on that would be awsome.

They will list from side to side more with a pylon than with a tower. The better your rider knows how to properly load the line the less it will efect the boat. I never found it to be that much of a problem for the driver, I do find it to be a problem for the foiler, since you can load the line going away from the wake the boat will pull back when you become airbore.

None of those things would stop me from adding a higher tow point, I had to use my pylon a couple of times last year while some tower problems were being taken care of last year and it really was miserable. I don't think I have used a low rope mount in 15 years.
