Mechanic in the Milwaukee WI area?

I am looking for a mechanic in the Milwaukee area that would be able to help me w/ this problem:

Alright so ran my 99 air nautique this weekend and ran great for a while. Then went to puts around the lake and it died. Wouldn't start up for about 20-30 mins. Then ran fine again. Did it again. Then Saturday it was a little hotter outside and ran fine. It sat for a while. Ran it hard and it died at high RPM's. Sat for 20-30 mins and started up again. Did this again also.

Ran a computer scan on it first time it said 22 122 22 and that was after pulling a bunch of wires and trying to start it. Cleared the codes. Ran it until it died and ran the code scanner again and came back w/ nothing.

I've read on the forum about bad MAP sensors. So I picked one up and I picked up a fuel pressure tester.

Checked the fuel pressure right away. Turned the key on the on position (not starting). No fuel pressure. Again... nothing. Started it up and it jumped up to about 32. Shut it down and turned the key to the on position (not starting) and fuel pressure rose to about 39. Ran it until it died and then checked the fuel pressure. No fuel pressure. Waited about 20-30 minutes and then fuel pressure came back started up and ran.

Unplugged the connection to the low pressure fuel pump and it started. Unplugged the connection to the high pressure fuel pump and it didn't start.

My question is could the MAP sensor be tripping this? Or would it be some fuel pump relay? Or the high pressure fuel pump? Or???? Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you for your time.

While I don't have any insight into your specific problem, I can offer this. Mojo Marine, which was part of Lauderdale, recently merged with Summerset Marine. Both were off HWY 16 near HWY C in Nashotah. Mojo was a Nautique dealer so now Summerset is a Nautique dealer. You could call and talk to Dan-o. He pretty much ran Mojo and might be able to help.

If you location is IA, why the Mke inquiry?

We sure have had some craziness in CC dealers in the Milwaukee area in the past few years.

Excel in Sussex used to be the only dealer around this area. I bought my boat from them. They used to sell moombas and CC's. Then they dropped moomba, and apparently went out of business or simply stopped selling boats at all. They sure don't sell CC's any more. it's been tough times for any boat dealer as of the last few years.

If you go to CC's site, the only place that shows up for dealers in SE Wi is Mojo Marine. It says nothing about Somerset Marine.

11 11 means there's nothing that the computer is picking up.

I agree it has to do with the fuel pump or something w/ the relay. Thanks Eric.

I vote that you keep your comments towards others on this site to YOURSELF.We got along just fine before you found us, why not go over to that other site and dazzle them with your lack of KNOWLEDGE .........I am not impressed 400 posts later.........

is the fuel pumps kicking on when there is no fuel pressure? if the pumps keep dieing, hard wire the fuel pumps and see if they constantly stay on. If the pumps stay on and dont die hard wired then it could be a relay on the way out. If it dies hard wired then a fuel pump is on the way out. My guess is the pick ups have trash and keep clogging it. Have you replaced the fuel filter yet? Dealing with Hondas and other EFI equipped vehicles and with a touch experience with carbs makes me think its trash. But your issue sounds like trash clogging the pick up in the tank and or getting disturbed in the filter and clogging it.

Somerset will be the main sales area while the old Mojo will be repair and detail area.

As far as remaining a MC dealer, I don't know if they can/will do both or will drop one. Based on a indirect comment, I think Nautique would trump MC, but I was on 'that' side of the street at the time.

I ordered an impeller when they were separate dealerships then picked it up on week later and they merged.

Also unclear is how Lauderdale fits into the equation. Did Lauderdale buy Sommerset or did Sommerset buy Lauderdale and Mojo or just Mojo?
