Hi everyone.

Going out the door on vacation and just wanted to post some final pictures of my project.

My friend who aligned the engine and found my transmission cable problem came over unexpectedly yesterday and buffed and waxed the boat to the point where you can literally see yourself in the gelcoat.

Will be back a week from today. Thanks again for everyones help. You made my vacation possible.

I have to keep her running 'cause I can't afford a new one

The boat looks great.   What a nice guy to come over and buff the boat out for you.

I need him to swing by Wi and do mine.;)

Congratulations. By the end of the summer, instead of panic and despair, you'll be telling everyone it wasn't that hard, and you might like to do another some day. BKH

Great job...what a great ending to the story. Been following along and know that you were nervous about making it. What a great friend too! Enjoy the vacation and share some pics.

Scott:

Good talking with you this past week. I hope my engine rebuild doesn't end like your trans cable did. That was a "Murpy Law" if ever there was one.....but a good turnout. Enjoy your hard labor this week and get some rest with the family.

BTW, I am ready to pull engine now. I got all parts off yesterday in the 100 deg weather minus Harmonic Dampner. All in all, the inside of the engine didn't look too bad for a 1968 Chrys 318. The timing chain in my opinion looked brand new.

Have fun and enjoy the lake, family and boat this week.
