Hi guys!

Your problem child is calling again!!!

Taking the boat out friday after my steering cable replacement. Pictures of stuff tomorrow afternoon.

In the mean time, while I was on vacation in June, the tachometer stopped working, then it started working, then stopped for good. I have misplaced my wiring diagram from the stringer rebuild or I would check for bad or loose connections. Never had a problem with it for the last 21 years.

Any suggestions? Do you need a picture? I think it's the original Teleflex like all the other gages. Heat index is 106 degrees and I just don't feel like waling outside to take a picture or look at it.

Thanks,

scott

Scott,
I have a feeling the tach finally "took a dump"!! All you can do is check out the gray wire from the coil to the backside of the tach is still good. Beyond that, it can be repaired if you want to keep the original (YES!!!LOL) I do have a place that will open it up and do the repair. Check out the gray wire and get back to me.

Pete,

Will do. I want to keep it original as well. How much do you think it would cost to rebuild? Could use FEDEX and ship it anywhere it needs to go. Headed out to work now. I will check tomorrow. Trying to get things back together before friday.
