Looking for a new vacation spot since the Delhi Dam broke.
We normally go for a week to ski/board, look at boats etc. Girl wants to go to Boji or Ozarks but i'm not sold on going to a big lake. Anyone got a fun spot to go in the upper midwest? |

Chris,
Northern Michigan has some of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen, crystal clear water and all sand. Look into Glen Lake in Glen Arbor, just west of Traverse City. Have several friends with places up there including my buddy Brownie who would certainly provide some memorable entertainment for you and Alicia, LOL! |

Have you ever been on lake minnetonka, Minneapolis area? Huge lake with lots of small bays/lakes connected for skiing. lots of nice homes and boats to see, several restaraunts on the lake. Not bad during the week but a zoo on the weekend. Not aware of a campground left on the lake though. Let me know if you would like tourist info or maps.

Chris - Clear Lake isn't bad during the week, but very busy on the weekend.
We had a great time at Okoboji last year - had the upper East Lake to ourselves for 2 hours in the afternoon one day - awesome! There also is a hidden lake nearby Okaboji, few know about, called Center Lake. Guaranteed glass, the only problem is some blue-green algae- nasty stuff! Hope you get to go somewhere nice this year, too bad about Delhi. |

Chris, even my place on the miss is a mess right now. Our docks are floating helplessly against the river bank :( No sandy beach and a ton of trees and gross water. Bad deal for eastern IA. On that note, I was on clear lake this weekend and yea, would NOT be a good ski lake. lol

Clear Lake seems to be a last option for us. I have some family friends and my buddy can possibly get us a place there for free.
I'm half tempted to go to Boji since I've never been. All my ski buddies say it's fun to go look around and see the sights. Anyone know of good places to stay? CQ, let me know if there are any neat places to stay near you and we might have to head out east |

Pleasant Hill. Google map Legends American Grill or Lakeside Fitness. They are both businesses right on the lake we will be skiing on.
Saturday July 31 at 5PM. We will be there early with team boats messing around so if you want a ride in a triple rig, I can make that happen. :) |
