Can someone point me to a source for carpet for my '80 Nautique? I am looking for red with black mixed in.It is the outdoor poly loop material. I can find blue, green and brown but no red!

I got a true red carpet from Home Depot but it is only available online so you won't find it at the store. Either them or Lowes had outdoor carpet that was more of a burgundy with black in it.

Keegan,
I have a feeling that Rick is looking for the original "turf" type carpet. Rick, That's a tough one. Members have found the blue (myself included) and brown but the red seems to have dried up. Keep looking and if you do find it, report back. I'm sure there are others looking for it too. I got mine out of Capri carpet but the last I looked, they seem to have dropped it from their selection too. |

Rick, Capri carpet sent me a sample of the red and black carpet for free.
I ended up going with a new style charcoal color from a local company. Here is the link though. Monty Capri carprt |

WOW! Thanks for the responses. I have sent an e-mail to Capri to see if they still have the black and red available. The rest of the interior is still quite good and I'd like to avoid a "make work situation". I am looking at stringers and a floor as the patch that I made for the driver's seat will only make it thru the summer.
Larry, I doubt that I will be able to scoot over to Epsom as we are on vacation at the time of the event and have a cottage full of family and friends. BTY ,downhill skiing this winter, I met a woman from Sandwich that said she knew you. Is she the one with the tatoo?? |

Well, I can't say I know anything about a tattoo...but my son ran into her this spring (it was a Boy Scout connection)and she mentioned it to him and he in turn to me. I had wondered what CCFan she had run into...five months later, now I know. (I helped her son get his water skiing merit badge)

I recieved my sample from Capri today. The color is close but the pile is not as full as the original material. They do market it as "budget turf." I'll keep looking and report back if I am successful.

Try floor covering stores. "Grass" is not as popular as it was in the last millineum but they might have access to some. it usually came 6 or 12 feet wide.
