Where do you live? If it is an '82-'89, this guy wants it:

http://www.the2001.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=90

Maybe he'd want it even if it were an '80. You could check.

Honestly, I think what you are proposing is horrible. It bugs me enough when people throw away cans instead of recycling but A WHOLE BOAT?! At least have it hauled off by a scrap yard.

OK, got it. I'll answer your original
question. I once cutup a 14' fiberglass
outboard that sat in my dad's backyard for
a few years. If I recall, we used a chainsaw.
Put on some goggles, a dust mask, and
long sleeves, and cut it into about 2X2 pieces. That was probably 74 or 75, long before I ever saw a sawsall. I'm sure you won't have any issues. Just be careful if it still has fuel in the gas tank, etc.

I gotta be honest- I just don't want to deal with it- this boat isn't even on a trailer it's just sitting in a field- with what I think are bullet holes in it. I have a '05 that I love and hate to do it, but I just don't want this thing on my property. It was here when I bought the property. I mean it is just a boat.

Why not just give it away? I'm sure there
is someone out there who would rebuild it,
no matter how bad, if they started with
a free hull. Even if they didn't rebuild it,
I'm sure someone could use it for parts.

If you threw out a free hull, here, on planetnautique.com, on wakeworld.com, craigslist.com, I'm sure someone would take it
off your hands.

Depending up on where you are at, I might take it.

I have an older correctcraft (1980 I think) that is in real crappy shape- engine is shot, transmission is forzen and the gel coat looks like is was cleaned with steel wool. I am trying to get rid of it and was thinking of cutting it up with a sawz all and throwing it in a dumpster. Has anybody heard of anyone doing this? Is there anything that I should be aware of as I cut away? They can't get the dumpster here for a few days so any help is appreciated.
