Well I finally succeeded in getting the clarkebar to answer his phone and make plans to get him out on the water with his beautiful 62 Classic. Spent the weekend with Eric in his man-cave and we had a great time. His wife (Mickey) and daughter and friend came up Sat afternoon to spend some time out on the water doing what these boats do best. I even had an HS classmate come join us who lives 15 mins from there as well. Got Eric's daughter Hannah and her BFF Marissa up on kneeboards behind the 62' and graduating to combo's behind the 88'. Had chicken on the smoker while all this was going on so dinner was ready when we got thru. Got the "Old" man up on a slalom after a 25 year hiatas on the first try and the 2 of us went out at sunset when the ladies had gone and the water turned to glass. Had to talk Eric into it but it didn't take much after my set. The smile plastered across his face after a glassy run was worth every effort to drag him into the water.

Managed to come across a 73 Southwind on Sunday and pulled up beside the guy driving and found out it was his grandfathers boat. He said he wanted to restore her to her orignal glory so I tossed him a CCFan coozie told him a lil bit about us and sent him on his way.. Pretty cool guy except one thing....

Great weekend until the monsoon showed up and had to load the boat up in the downpour and it never stopped the whole way home even thru downtown ATL. Pretty stressful trip home.

Don't let him tell you otherwise but clarkebar has got some guns....

Father giving daughter some skiing instruction..(very cool!)

Ahhhhhhhhhhh SUCCESS! Great Job Hannah!

Phhhhhhhhhhhhhpht!

In typical CCFan fashion Eric tossed me the keys and said... "Take the 62!".......Thanks buddy!

A 73 Southwind...Never seen one this color scheme and Eric and I almost chastised him for the tubes but.........(Sorry Pete!)

Tim looks like a good time. Always fun to introduce kids to watersports and see them get the enjoyment of learning a new skill. I often think how that enjoyment and fun on the water will be with them and their kids one day.

Tim I have sent the Sport keys to you by mail. You just have to fly to Oz to drive it.
If you're going through hell, keep going

Hey Gary, Reid has been telling me the same thing for awhile and when I was there a month ago even showed me the perfect candidate and tried to talk me into it....One day my friend

Jim, it'll take a week to dry her out and she needs a bath after dragging her thru downtown Atlanta. We need to have a lil gathering on Lanier this summer as well.

Lewy, I'll be looking for them and I'll get there one day soon. Jo has also been working on me for awhile to get my bloody passport. Informed her that I ain't coming during your winter time down there cause I ain't coming all the way down there and not drive and ski the Sport.

Tim, Greg, others,
What's the condition of Lanier this year? Did they ever get the dam situation figured out on who gets the water?

The Dam(n) situation is still in the courts. I doubt it'll be resolved any time soon. The good news is we are only down 3 feet.

Good pictures. Eric's boat looks great, especially with the ski rope off the back.

How ironic that you should ask Pete as this ruling just came down.

Atlanta's Water Woe's

So, the way I read it, unless there's plenty of rain in the headwaters area of Lanier, it will remain to be very low.
