This OLD DOG is trying to move into the 21st century for the sake of my business and the fact that EVERYONE ELSE is doing it. I got a Blackberry. Before hand I did no textes or mobile e-mails. The time it takes me to figure out how to send a text I could walk a hand written note to the receipient. WTF.

Listen hear "OLD DOG" keep thinking with that mentality and we'll label you that way.
Never pictured you as one to give into peer pressure BJ but you'll get it. just hang out with a teenager for 3 hours and they'll have educated in no time and will have all the apps downloaded that would blow your mind. Look at the bright side...You'll have easier access to the site when you're on the road. Now we just gotta work on Billy and Pete! |

I have thought about doing that too. I have broken a phone 3 months after it was new and go to get another one and they don't even make that model anymore. Then you have to learn how to use the new one. I hate getting a new phone. My wife on the other hand has to get the new whatever as soon as it comes out. |

Sounds like you guys are reading my playbook. My last razor went through the wash about a month ago. I haven't figured out what kind to replace it with yet, but I had spares for a while.... for the amount of calls I make, it's hardly worth having one at all. |

I had one of the very earlieast smart phones,(maybe 8 years ago)It was good for appointmnets and contacts but very slow for email and apps. when 3G hit they became pretty amazing devices. I still dont post much on the forum but I keep up reading all day long. The android apps make my newest phone even more useful in ways I never dreamed of. I cant wait till they are implanted with retinal displays.

For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

If it wasn't for my iPhone, my post count would be about 10, about the only post from the computer I make anymore are because there's a picture involved. I'm sure there's a work around to that, but I haven't taken the time to figure it out. I don't think the Mac I had in 1990 could do a 10th of what I do with a phone now, and I don't even come close to using everything the phone can do.
BJ, if you want to get really lazy and still text you need a dictation app. You just tell it what you want say then paste it into the text. |

So, Eric, just exactly who's wife we talkin' bout?
Anyway, until they can come up with an app that will make me a sandwich, I'll just keep the V3. |

I've got one of those military spec phones (Casoio G'zone Bolder). It is water proof ~ Few weeks ago I dropped it off the dock in 7' water. Had a friend call it while I dove and searched. Found it and had 1 missed call. It is 3 yrs old now and been thru hack and back. Wifey has the newer slider mil spec water proof version that other folks even use in salt water.

I have absolutely no idea of what you guys are talking about!! Old school?? I still have a Tracphone thay was actually given to me!! Yes, HW caugth me using it one day outside the Bayview!!! I keep it in the truck and only use it for emergency's or when up north and need to make a long distance call (I'm on a economy pack up there) At the plant, they keep threatening me to supply me with a fancy cell phone. So far, I've been successful in telling them it's not needed. I do not need one of those damn things waking me up at "no o'clock at night!!
