First off this thread is a true testament to Correct Craft because I am tearing into a boat 19yrs younger than my Mustang. I know the site is dedicated to the Correct Craft, but I need some support from those out there who have had sterndrive/bowriders in the past or present. I had to do something this past winter on our boat situation because the Mustang was just getting way too crowded on all day adventures to the lake with three growing kids who ride everything and the boat just doesn't have the room for ice chest, all the toys, and the family. So here goes - I broke down and purchased a 1994 20' Regal bowrider. I knew the ski locker bottom needed to be replaced after initial investigation and applying all the knowledge read/learned from members here on the site about Correct Crafts.
What I am curious about is if anyone has done any work on bowrider ski locker bottom floors - there isn't much room in there and I have printed several stringer threads from here on the site to to use as a guide in the process, but thought someone might have good advice as far as the bowrider goes. Also let it be known the Mustang will still be on the lake alot - it is especially nice to go on weekday evenings since we are only 12 miles from the ramp we can get an easy 2hrs in before the sun goes below the trees. Those in the Atlanta area know what Lanier is like on the weekends - the Mustang feels like a dinghy when the cruiser armada is out doing 20+mph all over the place. Thanks in advance |
