Just put the copper pipes on. Wife does not know yet. Sounds good. The 3in pipe ran me $130 for 6feet. Now you will know when I'm coming down the lake ; )

The exhaust note will sound like an '80's centurian, because that is what they used for exhaust on the budget boats. which kinda sounds like Blue Man Group on meth. Your call.

You have to realize it's the only thing between you and the bottom if it fails |

You might try searching under the Buy and Sell forum for these parts. Seems like there are always several boats being parted out.
I've got straight copper pipes and love the sound of my boat. Good luck! |

I know many have gone the cheap PVC route and it worked however, the issue with it taking any excess heat bug's me!! Go to the scrap yard and see if they have any SS or copper.

It's been discussed here before but I cannot remember what the consensus was.
You have other options like stainless steel which is still up there in price but not terrible. |

I want to do straight pipes, but do not want to buy the expensive marine exhaust water hose!

Would 3 IN PVC pipe hold up to replace the muffler on 84' SN 2001? Im thinking that it would because the exhaust water does not get that hot??
