Ok seems there are a ton of threads on y-piping, but I can't find a single one on leaving the invertaflow on and removing the baffles. From what I was able to find it seems there is a tube inside a tube that forces the exhaust up and through water before it exits the invertaflow. Thus making it quieter, but also adding backpressure/restriction. Back in my water rocket days we had the same type of muffler systems and we would simply hollow out the overlapping pipes that created the "pool" of water. Resulting in an improved sound and a little performance gain. However, on my seadoo it was a straight shot muffle so I could get in there fairly easily. Looking at the invertaflow I'm not sure how I would get my hands let alone a cutting tool in there to remove the baffles. So long story short has anyone removed their baffles and or have an idea on how to get in there without having to cut the top and re-fiberglass it?

Theres no way to disassemble the invertaflow without cutting it wide open and reglassing it closed afterwards. Lots of sharp corners that the exhaust gasses would have to follow, even if it were hollowed out. Thats why people go the Y-pipe route.

man I was hoping for a cheaper route. between the $120 for the y-pipe and another $100 for hose and such I can't justify it just b/c I want it to sound like a 2001 lol.

I don't know about the Invertaflow but I hollowed out my Hull Hugger and it's been working great. It barely affected the sound but I'm sure I am getting a lot better exhaust flow. Hull Hugger

I have intertaflow with the stand pipe lose inside I'll trade you. I was going to cut apart and fix this winter. But if want a loud one I'd trade just to save the work.

If the only tool you have is a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail.
