I need to order a new temp sender as the one I have now is kinda broken, the screw part to where the cable lead and nut bolts on spins loose.
It still reads temperature, but the other day started to read funky.
I remember the protec had 2 temperature senders, one to the gauge and the other to the protec coil pack. Are these the same?
I am currently using one, as I have no protec.
Can I just put the gauge cable there or works with another signal?

Nautiqueparts seems to indicate that the Protec Sender and the Gauge sender are different:

Although, the wire connection is similar, it's just the gauge sender is fatter.

Not sure if they are the same resistance calibration. You could always try connecting to the leftover protec one and see what you get. Are both on the intake manifold?

Nice try Kap, but I dont think it will work. One is a sender, the other is a switch.
