There are 2 cables that connect to your Morse control... one is the throttle cable, which connects to the carburetor, and the other is the shift cable, which connects to the transmission. The 2 cables are identical (same length, throw, part number, etc). I always replace them in pairs... if one was shot, the other cant be far behind. Its easy enough while you have the control off, and theyre not expensive.

Just like Pete said, you want the TFXtreme, which is a 33 Series replacement. Your boat, like most direct drive CC's, takes 17' control cables. I would recommend replacing both throttle and control cables at the same time.
http://www.go2marine.com/item/88820/tfxtreme-control-cables-model-ccx633-replaces-33c-3300-series-cables-ccx63317.html For some reason, all of the 30 series pivots at Go2marine are $12 and up... so I tend to get them at SkiDIM for $3. |

Does anyone have the part number for the throttle cable and the brass ends for my 86 ski nautique 2001? Mine was thrown away after purchased the incorrect cable. Go2marine wants to verify. if any one can help, would be much appreciated.

Rob,
A Suzuki cable will not work as you found out the ends will be different. You want Xtreme cables. go2 marine How the H did you end up with an outboard cable? BTW, change both cables as well as the brass ends. |

My throttle cable broke out on the lake last week. Found a suzuki replacement the same length but the connections do not seem to match up. Plus I need part, the brass end that attaches to the shifter, I did not take from the old cable and left at part store and it was thrown away. Will the replacment cable work or do I need a different one? where can I get the brass end I am missing?
