Hi,
thanks a lot for the answer, the point is where can i find it in France, or is it possible to order for the entire tubing from the speedos to the pick-up tube. Both would have to be replaced, it would be great to find the original speedos from the 1976 model. |

Antoine,
It shouldn't be too hard to find over there but that's just a guess on my part. Measure the old pitot tubing's ID and OD and go to an industrial supply. They should be able to come up with something. It needs to be pretty soft (durometer) for the fittings to work but only needs to handle about 30 to 40 PSI. I find the old stuff gets pretty brittle with age. You may find the original was installed before the boat was foamed. Just leave it and install the new keeping in mind you do want to slope the tubing run toward the aft so it will drain. Water should not get too far up the tubing (unless there is a air leak) but it's just a good practice to keep the tubing pitched towards the aft slightly. |

Is it the tubing or the plastic part that drags in the water?

I found new pick-up tubes on the N3 boatworks online shop, to replace the broken one a the second too. It is the little pipe wich goes inside of the rubber hose that is broken, so i can't plug it inside at the end of the hose anylonger.
thanks for you answers ! |
