I'm trying to remove my swim platform on my 97 ski nautique gt 40 engine. The pins that hold the platform on the two rods on the boat are rusted and not moving when I hit with a hammer. I've tried liquid wrench any recommendations on how to remove?

Rusted? Are you sure? Aren't those aluminum?

I'm not an expert, but what about unbolting the swim platform and trying to twist the brackets sideways to crack them free? If they are frozen on via corrosion perhaps a little sideways torque could help break the bond and then you could slide them off.

Please let us know what ends up working!
