Can someone put a make to this runabout....the layout of the boat 2 forward cockpit (of the engine compartment) and a small d*ckie cockpit behind engine bay, with its own lid making it disappear when not in use.
There are no tags/numbers found on it yet.

cheers,

Its very beautiful whoever made it.
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

I've been looking in over 30 books of the time, haven't found anything that is a match. I would focus on matching the windshield style, that looks unique.

Roger,
My Speltz books are up north so I can't look it up but, it looks like a Ditchburn to me.

Thanks Pete, would be nice if it was a Ditchburn .....as with most old boats has a story to it, was raced in San Francisco Bay at some point ??? but no evidence of this, from all the research I have done I’m leaning to a late Dodge boat of the 30's ??

Well I am certainly no help in placing it as I think 98% of wood boats are more trouble then they are worth...

But that thing is definitely in the other 2% is it yours? Whats the current power plant?

Joe, its available to me,with or without an engine (old none marine ford v8 flathead) I'm thinking that old marine Chrysler straight 8 I have would go in it.

Just trying to pin down what it is as it could be an old home build ??

Roger do you post on any wood boat sites? I've seen that picture before and the boat was never identified. I distinctly remember the photo on the other forum only having 3 topside planks.
You can’t change the wind but you can adjust your sails

Alan , the other thread is not me.......If you can find it please post a link as it may help with a value as it stands.
Not found a woody site I like, they can be a bit stuffy.....unlike here.
