A little Mopar for your morning.

My dad decided to pick up a new Mopar to add to the family. Sadly an old friend has to go to make room for the new kid on the block. I don't have a picture but we have had a nice fairly original 69 Coronet R/T in B5 blue sporting a 440 4bbl and Ramcharger hood option since 1989. Dad's Cuda still needs to be finished first before the Coronet will see any thought of restoration. Mom and I talked dad into letting go of the blue car(keep in mind I would love noting more than to restore that car myself). Dad has been hot for a challenger since they came out in 08 and one came availiable that caught his eye just this week. We will be very sad to see the 69 go but dad is getting a bit older and I would rather see him have something he can get in and enjoy rather than wish about. Plus we have to get the Skylark done this winter too ;).

It's a Moulin Rouge 2010 R/T Classic 6 speed Loaded Challenger with 6400 original miles. It had a T/A hood added but comes with the original power bulge. He is in love I think. The color will be rare and sit nicely along with his Lemon Twist Yellow 1970 Cuda.


Washed my 67 the other day. You can see my roomates 2012 jeep GC peaking around the car and those are very nice driving machine! Not to mention the srt-8 version

The new boat puller.

I had a Perfect 03 3/4 ton 4x4 ram I let go for the name of economy. I love this new ram. It's a 2010 Hemi and I get about 14.2 highway pulling and 20-21 highway unloaded. With the new VVT motor it rarely has to downshift when pulling.   

Nice David! 68 is by far my favorite year Charger. I love the lack of cross bar in the grill and the round tail lights as well as round side markers. There is a sexy Bright teal metallic 68 running around in my home town(black top and tail stripe).

The 67 is a Satellite. Been with me for 10 years so far. The boat is my 86, been with me for 7 seasons now still not winterized yet ;).

Want to work out a deal for our 69 R/T? haha. It pains me to think of the 69 leaving but as of now it servs no purpose other than a garage space and conversation piece.

66 and 67 b bodies do strange things to me haha. My uncle has a silver 67 R/T drop top red interior black top with air.(currently under the knife). Previous to that he restored a silver 66 440 trim #'s matching hemi 4 speed car. Black painted top. Sadly a house is more of a priority than a hemi car haha. Our home town was the biggest Mopar town in the nation no lie.

New Castle Indiana haha. There is still a lot of cars around there. That 68 X is great. Basically any GTX gets me going. 68 GTX is probably my favorite post 67 B body. Have you ever been to the Mopar Nationals?

The 70 cars were the same center chunk and basically the same interior Just different grill/tail panels.

What the heck happened to your brother? He doesn't have Mopar Radar Red flowing through his veins?

Personally, I am a Ford guy. '68 F250 Camper Special w/ a 390 creating the low end torque duties which is channeled through a C6 and directed on to a Dana 44 out back (can you tell I have been watching too much Horsepower TV :) ), and a also '96 Mustang GT w/ a 5 spd and Flowmasters 40's which my 23 year old son drives.....CAREFULLY!   He knows if he doesn't.......

Here you go, my 70 AAR Cuda back in 1981. 340 six pack, torque flite automatic, 100% original except for color, and two new factory front fenders, it was vitamin C yellow when I bought it but I didn't like the color at the time and repainted it white (It wasn;t in quite as good a condition when I bought it)

Put an X pipe on it it will make it sound more exotic. Mine are delta flow 40's which are quieter than original flow 40's which might be what you have on the Stang. Sometimes I wish I had originals sometimes I like less noise (it spins 3600rpm at 65mph :S).

Mark It's a real AAR the antenna is on the rear ;). I love AARs. Was the car Vitiman C orange?? or Lemon Twist yellow?

Chrysler had the coolest color names.

Those were the days. Love those AAR's. This was my friends back about '75,just a used car then Thats me in the front. A couple of old friends from those days and I were just talking about this car last week,no one knows what ever happened to it. The owner,in the pic too,kept it for many years. We know he sold it and had some issues and kinda dropped off the face of the earth.

For some reason the AAR never reached the high prices of the hemi and big block 6 bbl cars. To my knowledge the only special fender ever made for 70 was the right front sans the antenna hold for a AAR. Now the 71's had gills if the were cuda and none if barracuda. B5 is in my top two colors on an AAR.

Before the muscle car boom dad and I almost bought a orange 70 T/A white vinyl top and white interior..... awesome. A friend of ours has an F8 dark green metallic TA. Dad also almost bought a rootbeer white interior bench seat column shift AAR. Oh back then.

I was a teenager but I'll never forget the Chrysler station wagon my dad got. He knew nothing about engines and would simply tell the salesman he wanted the biggest engine. Well, I'd have to say he got the 440 and the triple deuces in that wagon. I wasn't of driving age at the time but I do remember my brother putting his foot to the floor!!! It, even being a station wagon, it was still an experience!!

If its original its lemon twist yellow, seems a little to golden colored to be original though coould be the image on my monitor though. It has a 70 TA Challenger style hood on it (which if original was all fiberglass), and at least that part had to have been repainted.

Zach....You know your Mopars. The color is Butterscotch. The car is not an original R/T. A bit of a hodgepodge I suppose, but, it still caught my eye when I was driving through.

The guy that owns it said he was thinking of redoing the black stripes and leaving the R/T off. The car was originally a 318 car, but, had a 360 in it now. Any guesses on the asking price?

You are not too far off. He said he was asking $20,000. However, it looked like he might be willing to negotiate a little. The car was clean, but, I think I would hold out for a more original car. Like you say.....had some goofy things going on with it.
