'81 SN needs (new) heads, looking for the best answer and why. Boat is run hard all summer, in fresh water w/lift. Cast iron/ alu? GT40 or Roush racing Int. 194"? exh. 160" or???.64 cc heads? or 58cc? Family run not looking for hot rod. Using stock or mild cam. I want it to still shift nice. We are spending a bit on this boat and would like it to last. Thank for the help

Alum are nice heads but pricy, I have built many mustangs(car) with gt 40 heads and there great heads. Alum lighter but not a big deal on a boat for sking. Alum also not good for taking heat, cast takes the heat and keeps on. I would go for GT 40 if you find them or a ported (mildly) set of irons. There is a pair of GT40's on ebay as of last night.

Mike,
I sure do. I was just contemplating putting them on ebay. The bad news is I am heading out of town for several weeks very soon. I will try and send you some pics though. Please send me your email address. cdale03@bellsouth.net Thanks Dallas |
