Does anyone have a 2000 SN where changing the impeller is difficult since the cover bottom screw is tight up against the floor carpet. Need to see if there are some tricks before I de winterized the boat in a few weeks. Bought the boat over the winter and see it looks like an issue. Will post pics once I figure out how.

Pete just replied to your thread over on PN. I think you have the Chev 350 based Apex engine as from memory they have a crank driven RAW water pump. Indmar also use this type of crankshaft driven pump.
If you are unable to remove the impeller as it contacts the floor. I would be tempted to put a small cutout in the floor so you can. I do not think you have much other choice than lifting the front of the engine every time you want to change the impeller. |
